Illumina NextSeq 500

The Illumina NextSeq 500 is a used benchtop sequencer that was designed to bring higher throughput next generation sequencing within reach of core labs and mid sized research groups without requiring the space or budget of a production sequencer. It uses two channel sequencing by synthesis chemistry and supports a range of flow cell outputs, allowing users to scale a run from a quick check sequencing pass to a deeper whole exome or transcriptome study. The instrument bundles cluster generation, imaging, and base calling into one enclosure, which keeps operation approachable for labs with a single dedicated operator. This particular unit is sold in used condition and was pulled from an active sequencing environment where it was used for routine genomic and transcriptomic work. It retains its original fluidics cartridge bay, imaging optics, and onboard compute, and it powers on and cycles through its normal startup sequence.
