This used Anixter Cable Lasher CL-900 is a strand-riding lashing machine used to attach communication and power cables to overhead messenger strand during aerial construction. It has been sourced from a decommissioned line crew fleet and inspected for mechanical function before being offered for resale. The CL-900 rides the strand on traction wheels while a rotating wire cage wraps galvanized lashing wire around the cable bundle and strand, creating the repeated helical wrap pattern standard in outside plant aerial work. Its drive train is geared to provide steady forward travel across varying span tensions, and the housing is built to withstand outdoor exposure across repeated job sites. The unit accepts common lashing wire spool sizes used by telephone and CATV contractors.
