MSI M-6000 Cable Lasher

The MSI M-6000 is a mid sized cable lashing machine designed for outside plant crews who install and maintain aerial telecommunications and power cable. It grips the messenger strand and moves along it under motor or hand crank power while dispensing lashing wire in an even helical wrap around the cable bundle. This used example has visible signs of field use but remains mechanically sound and ready for continued work. The M-6000 is built with a rugged aluminum frame that keeps the unit light enough for one or two technicians to mount on the strand yet strong enough to handle repeated tension from the lashing wire spool. Adjustable guide arms let the operator fit the machine to varying cable diameters, which is useful on jobs where multiple cable types are lashed to the same strand during a single pass.
