This used Dentsply Sirona CEREC AC Bluecam intraoral scanning system is part of the well known CEREC chairside CAD/CAM platform that enabled dental offices to design and mill restorations in a single visit. The Bluecam technology captures precise powder based optical impressions that feed directly into CEREC design software for crowns, inlays, onlays, and veneers. Practices use this unit as an economical entry point into chairside same day dentistry, pairing the scanner with a compatible milling unit to fabricate ceramic restorations without sending impressions to an outside lab. The acquisition unit features a rolling cart and touchscreen monitor that make positioning around the dental chair straightforward for operators of varying experience levels.
